2014 Annual National Night Out

Description: National Night Out is a nationwide event held annually on the first Tuesday in August. It is designed to strengthen our neighborhoods through police-community partnerships. The goal is to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, build support and participation in local anti-crime programs and, most importantly, represents the kind of spirit, energy and determination that is helping to make many neighborhoods safer places to live. It’s also the perfect opportunity to get to know your neighbors even better. Livingston will host an event at the Memorial Oval with food, games and a large-screen outdoor family movie, beginning at dusk and featuring The Lego Movie. South Orange will host its event at Flood’s Hill, beginning with live music at 6:30 pm as well as a Kids Zone featuring a bounce house, coloring station and more and concluding with a movie beginning at 8:30 pm.
